As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Google is helping advertisers leverage technology platforms to thrive in today’s evolving digital landscape. DoubleClick’s ad technology platform enables these media owners to effectively monetize their content and drive business growth. As a Publisher Marketing Manager, you will shape the future of this business by building awareness and understanding of high-growth advertising solutions like programmatic, mobile and video. With the increasing shift of content consumption to cross-screen digital channels, ad technology platforms are gaining strategic prominence for media owners and Google is looking to support their needs.

You will drive the marketing strategy, planning and execution of programs to support the sales teams in driving the DoubleClick business across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This will involve finding innovative ways to engage decision makers, educate users of our products and equip our sales teams with the information and tools they need to do business more effectively. You will arm the Google salesforce and the country marketing teams with programs that establish fresh thinking in the industry and deepen engagement with clients. This is a cross-functional role, involving close work with PR and Sales, as well as collaborating with other marketing teams across Google’s global offices.

  • Oversee the positioning, strategy, and development of marketing plans that support Publishers, working closely with sales leadership in Asia Pacific
  • Lead a team of highly skilled individuals to successfully implement marketing strategies and campaigns supporting Google’s Publisher business in Asia Pacific.
  • Identify and execute innovative marketing strategies and plans to drive Publisher education, engagement and product adoption.
  • Develop thought-leadership materials, client and executive presentations, case studies and other content designed to accelerate our business momentum and better engage Google's customers.
  • Champion Google's message, best practices and perspectives to our customers and our industry peers via events and other direct client communications channels.

  • Minimum qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product marketing, online marketing, media or consulting to marketers.

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA degree.
  • Experience with marketing and transformational online marketing approaches.
  • Experience in the technology and online industry with an understanding of the Internet, the offline and online advertising market, online products, customers and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing and executing marketing strategies in a client-facing environment; expertise supporting and enabling a sales organization.
  • Demonstrated first-rate leadership and personal skills, as well as a profound willingness to collaborate internally and externally.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with creative flair to bring fresh ideas into product positioning and marketing campaigns.
